Socializes!

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), with its nationwide network of nearly 100,000 members, 1,000 branches, and 500 college and university partners, is a leading advocate for equity and education for women and girls.  Our mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.  Our vision is to be a powerful advocate and visible leader in equity and education through research, philanthropy, and measurable change in critical areas impacting the lives of women and girls.

Founded in 1881, AAUW has been a continual catalyst for change.  Our members have influenced legislative debate and lobbied Congress on critical issues such as Education, Civil Rights, Affirmative Action, Reproductive Choice, Sex Discrimination, Title IX, Health Care, and Hate Crimes.  AAUW's commitment to educational equity is reflected in its public policy advocacy, community programs, leadership development, conventions and conferences, national partnerships, and international connections.
